Talking Rock Golf Course Named Among Canada’s Top 100 for a Third Consecutive Ranking

Talking Rock Golf Course at Quaaout Lodge & Spa at Talking Rock Resort has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Golf Courses by SCOREGolf for 2026, marking the course’s third straight appearance on the biennial list. Owned and operated by Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw (formerly the Little Shuswap Lake Band), Talking Rock is one of only a handful of public-access courses in British Columbia to hold a spot among the country’s best.

SCOREGolf’s write-up on the Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton design praises Talking Rock as “a fantastic, forested course with dramatic mountain views.” While the double-dogleg par-5 seventh is considered its signature hole, the ranking points to the par-3 15th as the course’s biggest moment, calling out the tee shot’s view of Little Shuswap Lake as a highlight of the round.

More than 90 volunteer raters, unaffiliated with SCOREGolf, score eligible courses across nine categories including design, conditioning, and fun factor, with fun factor weighted heaviest at 20 percent of a course’s total score. Courses need at least 10 ratings logged over the past decade to qualify, and scores made before major renovations are discounted.

“These ratings come from more than 90 people who travel this country and know good golf when they play it. There’s no marketing behind that process, just what they experienced on our course,” said Cody Bell, General Manager and Executive Golf Professional at Talking Rock. “Holding our place in the Top 100 for a third straight list tells us the golf experience we’re building here is real, and it’s one we plan to keep sharpening as the rest of the resort grows around it.”

Talking Rock is open for the season, with tee times available alongside lunch and dinner options at Jack Sam’s Restaurant. Golfers can book a round or plan a visit at quaaoutlodge.com.
